The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program prepares the student to perform a variety of therapeutic procedures and training to aid in the rehabilitation of patients. PTAs, under the supervision of a physical therapist, document the patient’s response to treatment. |

Practical Nurses (PN) provide direct patient care and often work under the direction of physicians and registered nurses. Once the NCLEX-PN licensure is obtained, LPNs can work in variety of settings including nursing care facilities, home health care services, physician’s offices and, in certain cases, hospitals. |

Medical Assistants (MA) utilize a combination of clerical and clinical skills and primarily work in a physician’s office. MAs can assist with taking vitals, perform EKGs and practice phlebotomy. They are also knowledgeable with medical software. |

Medical Insurance Specialists are experts in billing and coding. Their vital skill set enables them to process insurance information in medical offices, clinics and hospital billing departments. In addition, their knowledge may extend to basic accounting. |

A strong interest in computers, medical terminology and anatomy and physiology is essential for a Medical Transcriptionist to succeed. Upon completion of training, graduates will be able to transcribe in general medicine or specialty areas. |
