Professional Skills Institute (PSI) is a private college that specializes in Allied Health training that can be completed within one to two years. Our current program offerings include Associate Degrees in Medical Assisting (Medical Assistant) and Physical Therapist Assisting (Physical Therapist Assistant). In addition, there are diploma programs in Medical Assisting, Medical Secretary/Transcription, Medical Insurance Specialist (Billing and Coding), and Practical Nursing.
The college was founded in 1984 by Patricia Finch, a Toledo born registered nurse, who had the desire to teach students above and beyond the required clinical and technical skills. At the inception of the college there were only two students and two programs, and the classes were held in a small office space on Airport Highway. Today, there are over 350 students at PSI’s new campus located at 5115 Glendale Ave, in Toledo, Ohio.
The student body at PSI is diverse. From the student just graduating from high school to the adult learner who is looking to make a career change, PSI is definitely an alternative to larger colleges and universities. Take a tour of our campus today, and find out why over 4000 students have already achieved a lifetime of success with PSI.
